The Extra-Ordinary Series

      While I've been working on getting chapter 5 ready to post, I've also been working on putting together some extra's to help keep people interested in the story, and hopefully draw in some new readers. Chapter 5 should be posted fairly soon, and I'm hoping chapter 6 and 7 will quickly follow. It depends on how much editing must be done before they are ready.

      Even though I have not been updating here, it doesn't mean I have not been writing. I've actually been writing a lot lately. I currently have chapter 5 finished. It requires one more read through then it will be posted. So I hope to have chapter 5 up within the next couple of days.

      I’ve also managed to get ahead by completing chapter 6! It’s written but still requires some editing and a thorough read-through before I will be posting it. I do hope to have both chapters up within the next couple of weeks though.

       And for those who may be getting tired of a rather…slow pace to the story. Brace yourselves! Once chapter 5 hits, everything picks up MUCH faster! Trust me, if you’ve considered no longer reading because you feel it’s slow, or boring….please read chapter 5 and 6 before you call it quits.

      Even I am excited about the up coming chapters! So much to write, so much action and intensity!

      Well I think that’s all for today. I should get back to chapter 6 before my mad case of ‘writing fever’ goes away.

      It's taking longer then I would have liked to finish chapter 4. Sorry everyone. But in the meantime, I thought I'd share a short story I wrote a few months ago. It's like a romance, thriller type. "Perpetual Love" was read by some people so far, and they really enjoyed it and suggested I publish it.

       So I'm in the middle of contacting a publishing company about it. In the meantime, while I finish up chapter 4, I'd like to post Perpetual Love for you all to read. I'd love to hear what you think! It's very short, but I tried to put a lot of action and intensity into it. Enjoy! "Perpetual Love"

     Okay so I was hoping to have chapter 4 posted by now, but sadly, things have gotten so busy I haven't had as much time as I would have liked. So the editing process had been slowed down. I am, however, almost done the chapter. I just have one last read through, a few edits to make and then it will be posted! I can't say when, but it will most definitely be within the next week or so.
    As for other news, I've been working along side the winner of our contest and I have to say, the character that is being created, will be adding a LOT to book 2! I can't wait until we can introduce her to all our readers! Guess we should finish book one first though.
    I just want to send a huge thank-you out to everyone who has been reading and following the book as it grows. You are all a huge support and one of the reasons I love writing so much! So thank you all so much for following the book!

      A big thank you to everyone for entering the contest to become a semi-main character in The Extra-Ordinary Series, book 2 "Breakthrough."
     I received so many entries in the past month, but unfortunately there can only be ONE winner. So I am pleased to announce, Danielle as our winner!!
     As winner of the contest, Danielle will get to create her very own character for book 2. I would have loved to let more people be in the book, but unfortunately there was only enough room for one character. I don't know about you, but I am VERY excited to see what Danielle comes up with for her character!

      Great news! Chapter 2: The Book, is now posted! Be sure to check it out and leave a comment letting me know what you think! Many changes have been made, but I am very pleased with this new draft!
     Also, the contest for who gets to be in book 2, has begun! The deadline is June 1'st and I am expecting a flood of entries so be sure to enter! There is a maximum of ONE entry per person, but if you really want to increase your chances of winning, here is how to do that;

1. Fill out the comment box below with your name, email and comments letting me know you are wanting to enter. ONE ENTRY PER PERSON!
2. For a second entry, post about the contest on another site. Such as facebook, your blog or mass email. Then fill out the comment box again, with the link to where the contest was mentioned and you will be entered a second time!
3. For a THIRD entry...post about the contest on another site and get a friend to enter! Once your friend has entered, comment again and tell me the name of your friend and you will automatically be entered a THIRD time!
   The winner will be announced on June 2'nd so be sure to get your entries in no later then midnight, June 1'st!

     Chapter 3 is already well underway, but I will be going on vacation in a few days, so the writing process will be put on hold for about two weeks. However, I don't expect chapter 3 to require much work so hopefully I will have it up within two weeks or so.

    Not much to update, except that chapter one is now up (as I'm sure you have heard. If not, it's posted under "Read the book") It's been completely re-done so I hope everyone enjoys the new version and changes to the plot.
    I'm well under way with chapter 2, which I think is going to be much better then the original chapter 2.    
    Also, you may have noticed the site has changed again (yes, again). Well I decided it needed a makeover to better suit the style of book it is. And since it's a sci-fi type book, I thought this theme better suited it.
    Well that's it for now, hopefully I'll have something more 'exciting' to post soon.

      Happy April fools everyone!

     The few days I've been reading over chapter one--and after getting many comments saying that my book was sounding a lot like Twilight--I've decided to completely change it! Of course this shouldn't set anything back, but it will make the first (and following) chapters much more enjoyable!

     Since chapter one is being completely re-done, I've decided to have some fun. So the other day, I created a personality quiz which allows you to see which "Evolutions" character you are most like.     Now, back to bigger news. Since chapter 1 is coming along so well, I've decided to aim at having it up by next Wednesday. That gives me time to smooth it out and make sure it's as perfect as possible.

Updates! Chapter 4 is done, BUT, due to a recent event, it will not be posted for at least another month. Sorry everyone. Though I do have good news. Thanks to some very good criticism, I am re-doing the first three chapters. Many people have said--and I agree with them--that it tends to drag a bit in the beginning. Some grammar errors need fixing and some spots are overly described. So I'll be taking a look at it and going through it before re-writing it. I don't expect it should take TOO long, but trust me, this new version will be much better then the last one.

I hope you will all come back and read the new version when it's posted and let me know your thoughts.

          Update: Chapter 4 is almost done. Well, almost done being written. The editing process will prolong the publish date about 2 more weeks, at least. For about a week, I hadn't even touched it. A wall seemed to keep me from working on it, and I had no idea how to finish it. Fortunately, after reading through my old draft, I got an idea, and was quickly able to finish the chapter. I hope everyone is looking forward to chapter 4, because I am trying to make it as exciting as possible.

      Welcome!

      The site has recently undergone a huge transformation, I hope you like the new look.

      There are a few updates, the biggest one being that chapter 4 is underway! I'm not sure when it will be done, but it should be done within the month. With many changes and a lot of editing to do, I cannot make an promises.
      "Evolutions" has been getting so much positive feedback, I honestly have to say I was surprised. It's one of my favorite books that I've ever written (and that's a lot of books).
      Of course with every positive feedback, there are three negative ones behind it. But what writer/author does not enjoy reading what some people like/dislike about their work? I know I do. Even if it's someone saying they hate it, it still keeps me going.
      I will also be holding a contest (probably around June?). So far, it's been widely anticipated. I've had people asking over and over again when it's going to be, and how to enter. I can't give any details yet about how to enter, but I can tell you hat the winner will get. The winner of the contest will get to be in book 2 of "The Extra-Ordinary" series..."Breakthrough". They will be allowed to name their character (it can be their name or any name they choose) and pick what their character looks like. I am very excited for this contest, and I know many others are as well.
